audaCiTy to be Healthy: Papaya & Banana Smoothie

Fruit and vegetable smoothies are becoming more and more of the craze.  As they rightfully should.  A tall glass of blended vegetables and fruits a day can keep the doctor away.  The liquified nutrients make for near immediate digestion and consumption of the vital vitamins and fiber that our bodies need to live. So in hopes to live, to really be alive, I present the Papaya & Banana Smoothie:

Papaya, Banana, & Almond Milk


1-half of Papaya fruit, seeds included

     Health benefits =
-Contains antioxidants = prevents cancer, heart attacks, and strokes
-proteolytic enzymes = aids in digestion
-Papain and chymopapain enzymes = lowers inflammation in the body and aids in healing
-Rich in vitamins C, E and beta carotenes = (see benefits above) and eliminates toxins from the body

1 ripe Banana

     Health benefits =
-Fiber = regulates digestion
-Potassium = lowers blood pressure and prevents the weakening of bones
-Vitamin B6 = anti-inflammatory and cell formation

1 cup of Almond Milk

Health benefits =
-protein = aids in cell, muscle, and tissue growth in the body
-manganese, copper and ribloflavin = produces energy
-omega fatty acids = boost heart health, reduce inflammation, contributes to brain function


  1. Place banana, papaya fruit and seeds, and almond milk in a blender.

2. Blend together.

3. Enjoy!
